This is a little something from my culture I want to share. Its called Tarator, which is a cold cucumber soup. This dish is perfect for these hot summer nights. A nice Light food to serve up anytime of the day. When I was younger, I could eat 3-4 bowls in one sitting.

Weird Obsession of the Day/Week/Month? : Piping

I tend to have those moments when I discover something, I fall in love with it, and cling onto it like my life depended on it. An everyday object would become almost like a religious icon. I would wake up with it and go to bed with it. That’s normal….Right?

Piping

noun

[mass noun]

  • 1. lengths of pipe made of metal, plastic, or other materials.
  •                 2. thin lines of icing or cream, used to decorate cakes and desserts.
  • 3. thin cord covered in fabric, used to decorate clothing or soft furnishings and reinforce seams.
  • 4. the action or art of playing a pipe or pipes.
  • 5. [count noun] a cutting of a pink or similar plant taken at a joint.]
    (Oxnard Dictionary)

For some apparent reason seeing someone pipe a cake excites me to my core. Everything in my body tenses up as I watch the “pipee” pipe ever so delicately swirls of delicious cream rich in butter and pure sugar on a soft pillow of sponge.

~Something is deeply wrong with me
